Creating Real Estate Postcards
Real estate postcards have come to be a reliable way for agents to advertise their properties. But often agents are confused about creating the postcards. What information is needed, and to whom should I send these, they ask. There are a few agreed-upon rules.
The first is that each postcard should have a clear, visually appealing picture of the property or house in question. Ideally, it would be in color and any structures that were not deemed aesthetically appealing would be cropped out. On the reverse of the card there is opportunity for lots of description about the property and the surrounding neighborhood, as a postcard is more spacious than a newspapers classified listing.
Include such information as proximity to schools, crime rate, acreage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, landscaping features, etc. The next step to creating a proper real estate postcard is to identify your audience.
Most agencies send out questionnaires to create a list of potential clients. This is a good idea. It keeps the real estate agency from wasting precious money and resources on those who are uninterested in the market. Finally, the last step is to deliver the postcard to the potential clients.
Most agencies will use the postal system, but truly innovative agents will deliver them personally. Its never too early to build and one-on-one relationship with a client. Putting a face with a name or an agency puts many people at ease, especially when considering such an important decision as where they will live.
