Free Marketing for Real Estate Agents

Marketing your talent is one of the toughest aspects of doing business today. Combine that with the tooth-and-nail environment of the real estate world, and most agents find themselves in a world of hurt. There are a few things you can do to put yourself (and your business) out in the public eye. But the best way, I think we all would agree, is the free way. Yes, free!

For example, the next time you close a deal be sure to slip the client several extra business cards to distribute to his or her friends during the house warming party. Free marketing for real estate agents is also possible in the local paper.

Consider doing an hour or two of voluntary work helping low-income families find an affordable place to live. Write a brief article about your service and send it to the paper. Many editors not only need to fill up some space, but they love that type of story. Everyone wins; the family; the paper; and you with your free marketing. Another idea is to run your name through the local chamber of commerce.

Print up some ads and send them to the directory of businesses. They may float around and get you some free marketing. And finally, the internet. Free message boards are a goldmine for real estate agents. Post your name and contact information. You never know whos looking for an agent. But real estate agents should always be looking for free marketing
